Spirit and Sportsmanship
The casual observer may see the BEST award as just a "spirit" award, but the truth is that the BEST award is whole lot more than the 10% awarded for spirit and sportsmanship. For 2003, 50% of the the SA BEST award points were for the project notebook and 30% of the points were for the table display and interview. The BEST Award Guidelines detail the point distribution, and what is expected of teams.
